How do you clean granite sinks?

Cleaning a granite sink with a soapy nylon brush every day is recommended to prevent stains and to maintain its appearance. Some companies offer special cleaning products for granite sinks. It is best to thoroughly rinse and dry the sink at the end of each day to avoid hard-water stains.

If stains appear on a granite sink, cleaning them with a nonabrasive cleaner is advised. Abrasive cleaners and pads should be avoided, because they can scratch the surface of the sink. Ammonia, caustic soda solution and drain-unblocking solutions that require the sink to be filled with water are not recommended.
