To clean hard water stains from faucets, use a cloth, vinegar and a soft sponge. To complete this task, you need white vinegar, a cleaning cloth, a soft sponge and water.
- Gather your materials
Get together all the necessary materials, and have them handy. Be sure to use white vinegar because it works best for this task.
- Soak a cloth in vinegar
Soak your cleaning cloth in white vinegar. Let it soak until it is completely saturated with the vinegar.
- Place the cloth on the stain
Place the cleaning cloth soaked in vinegar directly on the hard water stains on your faucets. Make sure that the cloth is directly touching all the stains you want to remove, even if you have to wrap it around the faucets.
- Allow 30 minutes to pass
Let the cloth sit on the hard water stains for a minimum of 30 minutes. If you have the time, let it sit for up to an hour.
- Scrub the stains with a sponge
Scrub the hard water stains with a soft sponge, focusing more on the areas where the stains are worse.
- Repeat the process
Repeat the entire process until all of the hard water stains are gone.
