Flexsteel recommends professional upholstery cleaning only, or the warranty could become void. Flexsteel advises owners to refer to the tag on the furniture to determine the best cleaning method.

When looking at the tag on Flexsteel furniture, the letters W, S, WS or X may be listed. If a consumer sees a W, only a water-based solvent or foam should be used on the upholstery. If a consumer sees an S, a mild, water-free dry cleaning solvent should be used. Flexsteel furniture tags with WS may be safely cleaned with a water-based cleanser, foam cleaner or dry cleaning solvent. Furniture with an X on the tag can be vacuumed or lightly brushed in order to remove soil.
