Why are ClearBags good for archival storage?
By Forinfos - 18/03/2025 - 0 comments
ClearBags protect prints, artwork, photographs and documents during display, handling and storage. The Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) has clarity, a low electrostatic charge, is acid-free and is safe for long-term storage, making it a good method for archival storage.
Polypropylene resin is melted and pushed through a die and then cast. The resulting film from this process is then stretched to make it flexible. This process creates BOPP, which is what ClearBags are mostly composed of. Large rolls of the resulting film are then converted to bags of various sizes that protect the contents and are made to fit most needs for different types of storage, making them convenient and usable.
