What is the climate of France?
By Forinfos - 20/04/2026 - 0 comments
France has four different climate zones that vary depending on the location and that include coastal, continental, mountainous and Mediterranean climates. The northern and southern parts of the country are temperate, while the south is Mediterranean, the inland country is continental and the Alps are mountainous.
Because of the varying climates in France, seasons are different depending on where travelers visit. Most of France has moderately cool autumns and springs, while the biggest temperature differences come out during the winters and summers. Winter snow is common in the Alps, but very rare in Paris, while summers are hottest in Ajaccio and cooler in Brest and Deauville.
