What color absorbs the most light?

Black absorbs the most light. The color of an object is determined by the wavelengths of visible light it reflects. Black objects do not reflect light, absorbing all wavelengths.
Color is determined by which wavelengths an object reflects as it absorbs the other wavelengths. The visible light spectrum ranges in wavelength between 380 nm and 750 nm. The human eye has the ability to see and distinguish these wavelengths. Red light has longer wavelengths, green light falls in the middle, and blue light has shorter wavelengths. The color white, contrary to black, is the result of an object reflecting all light and absorbing none.
