What color is marble?

White, grey, green, pink, beige and black are all naturally occurring colors of marble. However, marble is usually streaked and swirled with other secondary colors and is not typically one pure color.
Marble is a hard, crystalline form of metamorphic limestone. It has been used for building and in sculpture for thousands of years. It has the advantage of being relatively soft and easy to work when first mined, but as the stone ages, it becomes harder and more durable. White marble, such as that used in ancient Greek architecture, has long been prized for its purity and the lustrous quality of the finished stone.
