Common complaints about Pella windows are rotting out of wood components, leaking of the aluminum windows, condensation between the inner removable pane glass and the outer double glass, window seal failures and gaps in the exterior frame of the sliding vinyl window. There are also complaints about poor customer service.

Some customers on Consumer Affairs have complained that the wood components of Pella windows rot out easily maybe because they have not been treated for rot. Others have complained of defective window seals that allow water to get in between the aluminium face frame and the glass, leading to rotting of the interior wood component of the aluminium-clad windows.
