Safety symbols available from Osha.gov include the skull and crossbones symbol, flame symbol, health hazard symbol and corrosion symbol, according to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. The symbols contain black and white representations of various dangers. For example, the flame symbol pictures a simple outline of a fire.
The corrosion symbol pictures two test tubes, one emptying over a hand with lines emerging from the hand to indicate damage and the other test tube emptying over a black line that has the same lines showing damage emerging from it, according to OSHA. The skull and crossbones symbol is also a black and white pictogram and shows a skull with two bones crossed underneath it in a shape that resembles an "X."
