How do you compare a green gas vs. a CO2 airgun?

Green gas Airsoft guns are easier to reload than CO2 Airsoft guns and are much more durable over time. CO2 Airsoft guns, on the other hand, administer a much more powerful shot and cost less to maintain. Use a gas-powered pistol for personal comparisons.
- Compare reload speeds
Load the green gas gun with a magazine, and perform a standard reload operation. Determine how much time it takes and how difficult it is to reload each magazine. Repeat this step with a CO2 gun, and compare the results.
- Compare feet per second and firing strength
To safely conduct the next test, wear a pair of safety glasses, a mask that covers the entire face and a pair of heavy-duty work gloves. Empty out the liquid contents of a soda can, and rinse it out thoroughly. Hold the can 1 to 2 inches away from the muzzle of the gun, and fire a shot into the side of the can. Repeat this step with a CO2-powered gun to compare the results. The FPS measurements for this test depend upon how many surfaces the gun's BB penetrated. One side is equal to a range of 290 to 310 FPS; two sides is equal to a range of 350 to 370 FPS.
- Compare the cost
Browse through online shops, or flip through catalogs of the most popular Airsoft gun retailers to determine which gun's prices best fit your budget.
- Compare durability
