The "Jeopardy!" theme song was composed by show creator Merv Griffin. The song is titled "Think!" and has been the show's main theme since the debut of the syndicated version in 1984.
Merv Griffin originally composed with the tune under the title "A Time for Tony" as a lullaby for his son. Though Griffin came up with the song in less than a minute, he estimated in 2005 that it had earned him between $70 and $80 million in royalties. "Think!" also earned Griffin the Broadcast Music Inc. President's Award in 2003. The theme was rearranged in 1997 by the show's music director and again in 2008 for the show's 25th anniversary.
