Indonesia is a country that is located in Asia. More specifically, Indonesia is in Southeast Asia, just north of Australia. It shares borders with other Asian countries including Malaysia and Papua New Guinea.

Indonesia can be divided into 33 different provinces. There is also a special administrative region, which is an area that is not considered part of any province. The country has a population of more than 250 million people, as of 2014, which is enough to be the country with the fourth-highest population on Earth. The country spans across multiple land masses that are surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. Overall, it covers an area of approximately 735,000 square miles.
