Which continent has the most volcanoes?

Most of the world's volcanoes are located around the edges of the Ring of Fire. Even though the Ring of Fire includes three continents, the volcanoes in Asia tend to be the most active.

The Ring of Fire is a massive region in the Pacific Ocean that stretches from eastern Asia to western North America and most of western South America. Indonesia has more volcanoes than any other country and is home to Tambora, Merapi and Krakatoa, three of the most famous volcanoes in the world. Japan also has a huge number of volcanoes and accounts for roughly 10 percent of the world's total number of active volcanoes.
