Where is the Continental Divide of the Americas?

The Continental Divide of the Americas starts at the Cape Prince of Wales in Alaska and continues from the Bering Strait to the Straits of Magellan. It also divides the watersheds that fall into the Pacific Ocean and the rivers that fall into the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.

A continental divide can be regarded as a mountainous ridge present on a particular continent. The water on one side of the divide is generated from snowfall and goes into the rivers that flow into a bay, sea or an ocean, while the rivers on the other side fall into a different bay, sea or ocean.
