A convertible bench picnic table is a type of outdoor furniture that converts easily from a picnic table to a garden bench. There are various types of convertible picnic tables, some of which individuals can build at home with common materials.

The two main types of convertible bench picnic tables are one- and two-bench models. With the one-bench type, the user must guide and fold up the whole picnic table into a single bench. For the two-bench type, the user can fold each half of the picnic table to create back-to-back benches. Each type has latches to lock the furniture into place when the user folds or expands it.
