Is copper a metal or non-metal?
By Forinfos - 09/07/2025 - 0 comments
Copper is a metal belonging to group 11 on the periodic table, which also includes gold and silver. Copper is one of the most reactive of all metals, as only silver is a better conductor of electricity than copper.
Its conductivity makes copper very valuable, despite the fact that it is far too soft and malleable to make tools. However, the hardness can be greatly increased by making an alloy with copper and another metal. Some of the most common copper alloys are bronze and brass. Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin, while brass consists of copper and zinc.
