Cotton drill is a 100 percent cotton fabric with a strong diagonal weave. The strength of this diagonal weave makes the fabric useful for applications that require a durable construction.
Cotton drill fabric is often used for uniforms and pocket linings. Able to withstand conditions that would damage ordinary cotton, drill is used to construct various items such as boat sails or upholstery. Treatments are applied to the cotton drill to make it even more durable. Flame, wrinkle, rain, ultraviolet and oil resistant treatments are some of the options available to enhance the strength of cotton drill. The fabric can be bleached to increase its visual appeal.
