Mazda cars are made in Japan. Mazda Motor Corporation is a Japanese automaker based in Hiroshima, Japan. Mazda operates three different manufacturing facilities in Japan.
Though the corporation is headquartered in Japan, the cars are manufactured in plants around the world. While the bulk production of these cars is still handled by Mazda’s Japanese assembly plants, popular lines of these cars are built in production plants in America and other countries. In 2007, Mazda produced approximately 1.3 million cars for global sales. The majority of these were produced in the Japanese plants. According to CarsDirect, in 2011, Mazda was the 15th biggest automaker by production worldwide.
