What is a coyote's predator?

According to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, predators of the coyote include wolves, mountain lions and bears. The coyote is a native of North America and is also found in Central America.

The coyote is most closely related to the gray wolf. A medium-sized canid, the coyote usually grows to 34 inches in length (excluding the tail) and weighs up to 46 pounds. Coyotes that live in the desert tend to have lighter coloring than those that live in the mountains. Coyotes mostly hunt in pairs, although hunting in packs is also possible. As an opportunistic feeder, the diet of the coyote includes small mammals, invertebrates and whatever else it can catch, including livestock.
