Who created Numbrix puzzles?

Numbrix puzzles, which appear weekly in Parade magazine, were created by Marilyn vos Savant, who held the Guinness World Record for highest IQ from 1986 to 1989 and is a columnist for Parade. Numbrix puzzles are similar to Hidato or Hidoku puzzles, which were invented by Israeli mathematician Gyora Benedek.
The goal of solving a Numbrix puzzle is to fill a grid with consecutive numbers starting with the lowest number, which is provided, and ending with the also-provided highest number. In easier puzzles, additional numbers are also provided throughout the grid. The numbers must be adjacent to one another horizontally or vertically; in Hidato, consecutive numbers may also be diagonal, but not in Numbrix.
