What does crown molding in kitchen cabinets look like?
By Forinfos - 24/03/2026 - 0 comments
Crown molding for kitchen cabinets consists of a traditionally styled molding strip permanently affixed to the top of a wooden kitchen cabinet. Crown molding may be purchased ready to install at hardware and home furnishing stores, often in the same colors as the cabinets.
Crown molding isn't attached directly to the cabinet but to a mounting strip that itself is glued into place on the cabinet's top frame. The strips of molding are then miter-cut and nailed into place. The best way to keep molding straight as it's installed is to line up the bottom of the pieces of molding rather than the tops. Drywall patch can be used to fill nail holes before painting.
