Is there a cure for cancer?

According to Science-Based Medicine, cancer is not a single disease. Cancer is actually one word uses to describe a multitude of diseases that have similar, but not nearly the same, characteristics. Since cancer is many different diseases, one cure would not fit all.

Science-Based Medicine also goes on to say that in some forms of cancer, especially blood cancers in their early stages, a cure can be had. Other forms of cancer, such as late-stage cancers involving solid tumors or masses, are much more difficult to treat and, therefore, cure.

There is no cure for all cancers at this time.
