How do you cut a pear?

To cut a pear, use a knife to separate it into two halves, then cut each half in half again. Remove the seeds and cut each quarter in half one more time to create slices. You may also dice the slices if you wish.

1. Make the first cut

   Cut the pear lengthwise.

2. Cut each half again

   Cut each half of the pear lengthwise again. There should now be four pear wedges.

3. Remove the core and finish slicing

   Using the knife, cut the core out of each pear wedge. Cut the wedges into individual slices and then sprinkle with lemon juice and store them, or eat them immediately.
