What is a cut sheet?

A cut sheet, often also referred to as a spec sheet, provides and describes the specifications of a particular product, service or property. Most purchased goods have a cut sheet included in the box.

Many cut sheets include a photograph of the product as well as a list of parts. They may consist of the product's features, advanced features, operating specifications and factory installed options. Cut sheets also may include other model numbers of the product and the features of those alternate models. They are often given to potential customers for comparison purposes so that the consumer can make the most appropriate choice for his project.
