Most people's idea of what is cute is subjective, but many people agree that baby animals, such as baby lions, giraffes and elephants, are cute animals to look for while on safari. Some people make it a point to visit parts of Africa during peak baby season.

Most baby animals in Africa are born shortly after the beginning of the rainy season. Generally, this is between November and May depending on the region. This time of year is also a good for bird watching. The main drawback to visiting during the rainy season is that the weather is often unpredictable and some roads and hiking trails may become impassable making some areas impossible to visit.
