Tesla Motors does not employ dealers as of 2015, so no dealer offers a discount price on a Tesla Roadster. Tesla no longer manufacturers the Roadster, its original model. However, a customer may purchase a pre-owned Tesla Roadster from Tesla Motors, which may have Roadsters from trade-ins in stock.

A customer may also purchase a pre-owned Tesla Roadster in a private sale from any Tesla Roadster owner who is willing to sell. Naturally, the value of any used Tesla Roadster has depreciated since its original sale in 2008 through 2011. The price of a used Tesla Roadster depends entirely on the negotiations between the buyer and the seller.
