Is decaf coffee bad for you?

Drinking decaffeinated coffee could increase a person's risk of heart disease. A study of a group of people who drank six cups of decaf coffee a day showed an 18 percent increase of fatty acids in the blood, which can lead to increased production of bad 'LDL' cholesterol.
People who drink one or two cups of decaf coffee a day, however, need not worry about the findings in this study. Drinking decaf coffee in smaller amounts can protect against diabetes, though not as much as caffeinated coffee. Decaf is also recommended for pregnant women to avoid preterm delivery or low-birthweight babies.
