Are deep kissing and HIV infections related?
By Forinfos - 28/09/2025 - 0 comments
It is rare for a person to contract an HIV infection through deep kissing. As of 2015, only one case of HIV transmission through deep kissing has been reported, according to the New York State Department of Health.
The infection was transmitted to a woman that kissed a man with bleeding gums. HIV is transmitted through bodily floods such as blood and semen. It can be passed from person to person through oral sex or intercourse. It can also be spread through the sharing of needles, notes WebMD. Hugging and holding hands does not put a person at risk for contracting the disease.
