What is the definition of polytheistic?
By Forinfos - 17/08/2025 - 0 comments
The term polytheistic refers to an individual or belief system that believes in multiple deities. With the exception of Christianity, Islam and Judaism, most religions believe in multiple gods or goddesses.
Polytheistic religions share certain characteristics in common. Many of these religions believe in separate deities that control specific aspects of life, such as fertility and death. Also, some polytheistic religions believe in deities associated with nature, such as fire, wind and water.
While the gods and goddesses are believed to rule over the attributes assigned to them, most polytheistic religions also believe in a superior deity that rules over all the others.
