Cook the chicken as soon as it is thawed. Alternatively, remove the chicken from the freezer, and place it in the refrigerator. Foster Farms recommends allowing five hours per pound for the chicken to thaw. In a pinch, remove the chicken from its packaging, and place it in a microwave-safe cooking vessel. Set the microwave on defrost, and thaw the chicken per the microwave manufacturer's instructions.
