What is a delivery note?

A delivery note goes along with a product shipment, and it has the quantity delivered and a description of the product. Once a shipment is received, the recipient signs the document, and a copy of it goes back to the sender so they have proof of delivery.

Delivery notes should not have information about how much each product costs. In fact, many companies include product codes instead of product names. Once the receiver signs the note, he or she is saying he or she got everything so that he or she cannot go back later and state that anything was missing.
