As of 2015, Kroger cards do not expire, but they are inactivated if a zero balance remains for more than 90 days. Since the Kroger family of stores includes numerous retailers, gift cards can be also be used at Dillons, Ralphs, QFC, Smith's, Fry's and other Kroger-branded stores.
