How do you determine whether a channel is HD or not on Time Warner Cable?
By Forinfos - 19/01/2026 - 0 comments
Time Warner Cable does not offer HD and SD channels separately, so if the customer has an HDTV and appropriate equipment, the television automatically shows HD content when available. High definition channels transmit their programming in a 16:9 aspect ratio, while standard definition channels use a 4:3 aspect ratio.
If using one of Time Warner Cable's lesser packages, the customer pays $11.25 a month for an HD cable box or $2.50 a month for an HD CableCARD if the television is compatible as of 2015; a CableCARD does not provide access to interactive features such as video on demand. Examples of HD channels on Time Warner Cable include CBS, NBC and Univision.
