Free diabetes education resources are available at the Joslin Diabetes Center website and the Diabetes Education Online page of the website of the University of California, San Francisco. The online classes offered by the Joslin Diabetes Center cover a range of topics. Each takes around 15 minutes to complete, as stated on the Joslin Diabetes Center website.

The Joslin resources include both text-based and multimedia classes. Topics covered include managing blood glucose, diabetes medication, general diabetes knowledge and treatment of type 2 diabetes, as outlined on the Joslin Diabetes Center website.

The educational resources available at the Diabetes Education Online webpage include lessons on how to count carbs, how stress affects the body and how to control it, as well as the benefits of exercise.
