Three online resources than have diabetic food plan menus are the American Diabetes Association (ADA), Prevention magazine and EatingWell magazine. The ADA explains that a diabetes meal plan is a guide that tells people what types of foods they can eat for a meal or snack to keep their diabetes under control.
The association provides many ideas like carbohydrate counting, the plate method as well as meal planning for vegetarians. The ADA also offers free meal menus and recipes for which people need to sign up.
There are 7-day meal plan menus available at EatingWell's website that outline typical plans for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prevention magazine has a 5-week meal plan.
