Despite claims to the contrary, there is no evidence that physicist Albert Einstein wrote a book called "God vs. Science." Einstein's published non-scientific works include "Ideas and Opinions" and "Out of My Later Years."

In his essay "The World as I See It," Einstein declared himself a "deeply religious man." He termed his religious beliefs "cosmic religion," based on his experience of the mysterious and on his admiration for the structure of the universe. However, Einstein did not believe in a personal God, a sentiment he made clear in the so-called "God letter" that he wrote to philosopher Eric Gutkind in 1954. In the letter, Einstein called religious belief childish and belief in God a "product of human weaknesses."
