"The Birth of a Candy Bar" story originates from the names of different candies that are used to make sentences. In the original story, 14 candy names are used. Some of these candies include Payday, Mr. Goodbar, Bit-o-Honey, Almond Joy and Mounds.
The story has a sexual connotation and implies that on a certain PayDay, a Mr. Goodbar and a Miss Hershey's got intimate some place downtown next to the corner of Main and 5th Avenue. The encounter is described in detail with candy names such as Mounds, Butterfinger, Almond Joy and Oh Henry. Miss Hershey's becomes Chunky, that is she gets pregnant, and nine months later Baby Ruth is born.
