Canada has won 12 Spengler Cup championships, winning titles in 1984, 1986, 1987, 1992 and from 1995 to 1998. Canada also won titles in 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2012.
The Spengler Cup is an ice hockey tournament held every year in Davos,Switzerland. It was created by Dr. Carl Spengler and first played 1923, and featured the Oxford University Ice Hockey against Berliner SC. Although it was originally intended to highlight teams from Europe following World War I, the tournament grew significantly to include the finest hockey organizations in the world, including teams from the Soviet Union, Sweden, Germany, Canada and the United States.
