Where do Canada geese spend the winter?
By Forinfos - 05/11/2025 - 0 comments
Some Canada geese spend their winter in the southern United States or Mexico, while others are permanent residents of golf courses and parks in the United States. Many Canada geese do not fly as far south as they once did due to changes in weather and farming patterns.
These changes make grain available later in the year, which cause the geese to migrate later or not at all. Canada geese are adaptable and are found in every U.S. state and province of Canada. Canada geese are content anywhere there are berries, grasses and grains available to feast on. Canada geese are able to travel as far as 1,500 miles in 24 hours, but they normally fly much slower.
