The Ford Super Chief was a concept truck that was released for the 2006 North American International Auto Show. The primary differences between the Super Chief and most of the trucks that Ford normally produces are found in the engine. The Super Chief has a V-10 engine that runs on gas, e85 or hydrogen.
The Super Chief was named after a passenger train that ran from Chicago to Los Angeles. The truck accepted three fuel sources as an attempt to address the issue of moving to hydrogen without the needed infrastructure in place. Using this concept truck, drivers could theoretically start their journey with hydrogen, and then fill the truck with whatever gasoline they could find while on their journey.
