Why did Fox fire E.D. Hill?

E.D. Hill appears to have been fired from Fox News due to a comment she made about President Barack Obama in June 2008. This information was not officially confirmed by Fox News due to the fact that it involves an employee termination, though news sources believe it to be true.

On June 6, 2008, E.D. Hill commented on a video that was playing that showed Barack Obama "fist bumping" his wife, Michelle. E.D. Hill commented that the fist bump was a "terrorist jab." Shortly after the comment aired, other news networks, blogs and papers complained about the comment, and her show soon went off the air. In 2009, Fox News announced it would not be renewing E.D. Hill's contract, effectively firing her.
