Francis Bacon, an English Philosopher, used the ideas of Aristotelian to promote the application of induction, an important technique that is used in modern science. Bacon also served as a Lord Chancellor in England.
Many people believed that the arguments by Aristotle about the inductive approach were faulty. In about 1600 A.D, several people, including Bacon, came to learn that there were no logical errors in the use of deductive method by Aristotle. The main problem was that the method did not fit well with scientific research even though it was widely used in mathematics. Since 1600, the application of induction has been used successfully in many scientific researches.
