Where did the goddess Athena live?

Greek mythology states that the goddess Athena resided on Mount Olympus with the 11 other main gods and goddesses. Mount Olympus has an elevation of 9,577 feet, and is the highest mountain peak in Greece.

Athena was the goddess of wisdom, warfare and crafts. Many believed that she was born from her father Zeus's head and became his favorite child. She emerged from his head as an adult dressed in armor. The citizens of Athens considered her a protector of their city, and rulers sought guidance from Athena in military matters and governmental issues.

The Parthenon, located on The Acropolis, was dedicated to Athena. It was believed that she should be honored with festivals, gifts and sacrifices.
