Gretchen Carlson always wore skirts on "Fox and Friends" because, according to her, women were not allowed to wear pants on the show. Carlson has worked for Fox News since 2005, including a stint on "Fox and Friends," which lasted until 2013.

While visiting the radio show of her former co-host Brian Kilmeade after leaving "Fox and Friends," Carlson told him, "Pants were not allowed on 'Fox & Friends,' remember?" At the time she was speaking with him, she was wearing jeans and referred to herself as "the new Gretchen." As of July 2015, Gretchen Carlson anchors the Fox show, "The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson."
