Henry Tudor was born at the royal residence of Greenwich Palace, in Greenwich, London, England. Henry spent time at several royal homes in London including the Tower of London, the Palace of Westminster and Baynard's Castle.
After his coronation, Henry VIII lived in many different royal houses and palaces throughout England, whether they were his by right or by conquest. There were palaces at Richmond and Eltham that the King frequented. Henry VIII also took over properties when he was displeased with someone in his service. He took Hampton Court from Cardinal Wolsey, after the cardinal failed to secure Henry's divorce from Catherine of Aragon.
