Richard Barton and Lloyd D. Frink co-founded Zillow in 2004, although the online real estate database launched in 2006. The company is headquartered in Seattle, Washington.
The Zillow database includes information on homes available for purchase, homes available for rent and homes that are not on the market. The database shows property values for different residences.
Points of data are culled from public property records and real estate listings. The Zillow website reported having information on more than 110 million U.S. homes, as of December 2015.
Zillow's initial public offering was in 2011, with shares trading 120 percent higher than the opening price.
