What is the difference between a studio apartment and a single apartment for rent?
By Forinfos - 15/02/2026 - 0 comments
In a studio apartment, the sleeping area is open to the living room and kitchen areas, while in a single or one-bedroom apartment, the sleeping area is in a separate room. Studio apartments are usually cheaper than one-bedroom apartments that are in the same location.
Because of their efficient layouts, studio apartments often have less total square-foot space than one-bedroom apartments in the same building. There is no standard square footage that defines an apartment as a studio, but most studio apartments are relatively small. Due to their compact size, a studio apartment may have lower heating and cooling costs than a single apartment in the same area.
