What did Jethro Tull invent?

Jethro Tull developed the horse-drawn hoe and was successful in adopting the vineyard method to his farm. Around 1701 Tull perfected a horse-drawn seed drill that sowed seeds in neat rows economically.

Jethro Tull was an English agronomist, agriculturist, writer and inventor. His ideas helped form the basis of modern British agriculture. In 1731 Jethro Tull published the book "The New Horse Houghing Husbandry or, an Essay on the Principles of Tillage and Vegetation." At the time of its publication, the book was a source of controversy, and his theories were not respected, especially his viewpoint on the value of manure for plant growth, according to Encyclopaedia Britannica.
