Actress Marcia Strassman died at the age of 66 on Oct. 24, 2014 after a six-year battle with breast cancer. News of her death was announced by her sister, Julia Strassman, to the Associated Press.
Although she appeared in a large number of movies and television shows throughout her career, Marcia Strassman is best known for her role as Julie Kotter, the wife of Brooklyn schoolteacher, Gabe Kotter, on the 1970s hit sitcom, "Welcome Back, Kotter." The actress also starred opposite Rick Moranis in the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" movie franchise, playing Diane Szalinski, the wife of mad scientist, Wayne Szalinski.
