Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon split up because they weren't getting along. The couple were living apart for months before Cannon filed for a divorce on Dec. 12, 2014. The couple got married in the Bahamas in 2008, and Carey gave birth to fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan in 2011.

Nick Cannon was Mariah Carey's second husband. Carey was married to music executive Tommy Mottola fro 1993 to 1997. Mariah Carey is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, while Nick Cannon is well known as a host of "America's Got Talent" and the MTV show "Nick Cannon's Wild 'N Out."
